Dear Silver Sands Residents,

Silver Sands is a gated community which employs Access Control Employees 24/7 at the Front Gatehouse who are instructed only to admit residents,  authorized visitors and contractors to Silver Sands. Surveillance cameras also have been placed around the perimeter of Silver Sands and in the building garages, lobbies, elevators and Clubhouse to monitor and/or record who is on our property. There is no perfect observation in monitoring a residential community located in a tourist area such as St. Pete Beach. We need your help! In addition to  monitoring who is admitted to Silver Sands, our Access Control Employees at the Front Gatehouse have other duties including receiving deliveries  for owners, making the rounds of the buildings and monitoring the grounds. Therefore, the Access Control Employee who is on duty at the Front Gatehouse cannot monitor all of property at one time. Thus, Silver Sands residents can play a vital role to help us keep unauthorized people off our property.  Examples include:

1. Residents are strongly encouraged NEVER to open the outside building doors or outside gates to people they don’t know! Sometimes residents open the lobby doors or beach gates for strangers or let unknown people just follow them in.

  • We urge residents, for example, to time their walking into the building lobbies (or through the beach gates) so any nearby unknown people can’t just walk in while the door or gate is open.

 2. If you see  someone jump the outside wall or see a suspicious person or suspicious activity on the property, please immediately call the Condo Office during business hours 727-360-4706 or the Front Gatehouse after hours at 727-367-5968.

  •  For your own safety, residents are advised NEVER to confront or try to apprehend any trespasser.
  •  If you see an activity which you believe is CRIMINAL in nature, immediately call 911 to summon the Sheriff. Then notify the Condo Office or the Front Gatehouse.  Never do anything to endanger yourself!

 3. Please do not give Silver Sands keys to your contractors or unauthorized people! For your protection, all contractors and other visitors must first register and the Front Gatehouse where residents will be called to grant permission for them to enter.

These only are examples of what residents can do to help us control unauthorized access to Silver Sands. Many thanks for your help! If you have questions, feel free to contact the Association Manager at (727) 678-1639. We appreciate your support!
